Acknowledgement and Acceptance of Terms

2pensmedia, Inc. ("2pensmedia", "we", "us") is deeply committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Statement sets forth our current privacy practices with regard to the information we collect when you use the Chicago Works 311 Reporter mobile application (the "App") or interact with our website. By using the App, you acknowledge and fully understand this Privacy Statement and consent to the information collection and use practices described below.

Information We Collect and How We Use It

2pensmedia collects information from and about its users in the following ways: (i) directly from our web server logs, (ii) through the App, (iii) information you provide, and (iv) through cookies and mobile advertising identifiers.

Information Submitted to the App

To submit a 311 service request, users may provide name, email address, and a physical address or geolocation. This information is used solely to fulfill the service request — it is forwarded to the appropriate City of Chicago ward office and to the City of Chicago 311 system. We do not sell or share this information with any other organization.

Location Data

The App may request access to your device location to attach a precise address to your 311 report and to identify the correct Chicago ward. Location is only used while the App is in use and is not tracked in the background. You can deny or revoke location permission at any time in your device settings; the App will continue to function with manually entered addresses.

Web Server & Diagnostic Logs

We automatically collect basic diagnostic data such as device type, operating system version, crash reports, and date/time of access to administer the App, analyze usage, and improve the service.

Advertising

The App displays advertisements through Google AdMob and the following AdMob mediation partners: Unity Ads, Vungle (Liftoff), InMobi, and Mintegral. These ad networks may collect or receive your device's advertising identifier (Android Advertising ID), IP address, coarse location, and basic device information in order to serve and measure ads. You can reset or limit ad personalization at any time in your device settings under Google → Ads. In-App Purchases

The App offers a one-time in-app purchase to remove advertisements. Purchases are processed by Google Play Billing; we do not receive or store your payment card information. Google Play's privacy policy applies to the payment transaction.

Children's Privacy

The App is not directed to children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it.

Changes to this Statement

2pensmedia may update this Privacy Statement from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Your continued use of the App constitutes acceptance of any updated Statement.

Consent to Collection and Processing in the United States

If you are located outside the United States, please note that by using the App you consent to having your data transferred to and processed in the United States.
